About Kristin Cafferty

Kristin Cafferty is a retired art educator who spent over 30 years teaching students from first through eighth grade to explore their creativity with confidence. Today, she brings that same passion for color and curiosity to her own work as an artist, creating vibrant abstract pieces with alcohol ink.

Her paintings are known for their fluid movement, luminous layers, and the sense of freedom they capture on paper. Kristin offers original works, commissions, and high-quality reproductions that allow collectors to bring a touch of her expressive style into their homes.

Based in Clinton, CT, Kristin is focused on growing her studio practice, sharing her work beyond her circle of family and friends, and connecting with new collectors through galleries, hows, and online offerings.

“My work is an exploration of movement, color, and spontaneity through the unique qualities of alcohol ink. I am drawn to the way the medium flows, resists control, and reveals unexpected beauty a reminder that creativity often comes from letting go. Through each piece, I aim to capture both energy and stillness: the vibrancy of life in motion, and the quiet moments where color and form settle into balance. My background as an art teacher has shaped the way I approach the studio with curiosity, playfulness, and a belief that art should invite discovery. I hope my work creates space for viewers to pause, breathe, and feel both uplifted and connected through color.”
